Attention Kmart Shoppers

After a 6 month search April has………………..a job!  She came home last week with the good news that she would be working at Kmart (part-time).  It’s not like she has never worked before.  She worked for 3 seasons at Kings Island.

Driving 56 miles a day to take her and pick her up was not fun especially when gas was $4 a gallon one summer.  It was a great experience and a great place to work but of course it’s seasonal.  In August she started the hunt week, after week, after week.  Yes, she got discouraged especially when she almost had one job and then it fell through. I wish you could have seen her face when she told me she had a job.  On Tuesday she went to her orientation.

She came home with this folder and her work schedule for the next 2 weeks.  Weds. was her first day.  Here she is ready for work.

Here is the best part.  The store is a mile from our house and when the weather gets warmer (over 30 degrees) she can walk!!!!

The day she found out about being hired she posted the good news on Facebook.  She listed herself as a Professional Clothes Folder.  I love that girl’s positive outlook on life.  She also informed me that now that she has a job she is ready to move out.  Not quite yet April,  we still have a few more things for you to accomplish before you leave the nest.

If you happen to be shopping at the Blue Ash Kmart and see a blond, professional clothes folder you will know that you have come across my independent daughter April.  “Attention Kmart shoppers –  professional clothes folder on the premises.”
