What’s more fun than attending your grandson’s soccer game? Nothing that I can think of at the moment. All 9 of us were there to participate, support, cheer and enjoy Henry’s game.Check out April’s new highlights!
The meet and greet before the game. Big sister Jen and brother-in-law Pete.
Yes, we get some ‘looks’ when we arrive and Jen introduces her 3 siblings that happen to have Down syndrome. But half way through the game everyone realizes that they are just like the rest of the fans there cheering on their favorite 6 or 7-year-old. We meet new families and joke with the parents. Lots of playing with Sparky, playing Legos, running around the empty field and cheering for Henry.Jack annoys Uncle Sam by putting grass in his shoes.
It was time to say good-bye to our new friends, congratulate the team on their big win, pack up 5 folding chairs and head on out after lots of hugs all around. We couldn’t make this a long good-bye because the boys were headed off to Youth Group. Sunday soccer games are my favorite!
