Holiday in Lights

Last night, just as the sun was setting, we piled in the car and headed out to dinner with a plan in mind.  We drove through Wendy’s and had a lovely dinner, any dinner that I don’t cook is lovely, and headed to Sharon Woods.  Our mission was to arrive there at 6 p.m. when Holiday in Lights at Sharon Woods opened. IMG_5508For this event you stay in your car and drive through the woods to view over a mile of Christmas lights.  It’s quite magical.  As you enter there is a sign with the call letters of a local radio station to listen to while viewing the light.  All car headlights are turned off as you slowly make your way up and down the hills in Sharon Woods.IMG_5511IMG_5514At the end of the light display we went into the Nature Center to enjoy all the fun things inside.  We waved at Santa, saw my favorite…model trains and met this character, Everett the Talking Christmas Tree.

IMG_5526Yes, there is a person in that tree and he is only in the lobby for 15 minutes at a time.  I am sure it is so he can take that head off and breathe!  I am hyperventilating just thinking about being inside that costume.IMG_5527When we got home later that night I opened my email and found a card that Sam’s class had made using JibJab.  You use faces from your own pictures, add them to the cards and then viola, you have a mini themed video to enjoy.  Your kids will love doing this with you.  Here is a card Sam and I made.  Have a fabulous day!         everything fhtt

  1. These are the CUTEST pics every! Every Christmas tree should look like this.
